re:- Body for next 10,000 miles test.

-------------------------

Normally we would suggest that we be allowed to build either a Family Saloon or an Enclosed Limousine for the purpose of a 10,000 miles test in France.

We wish to suggest that, at the moment, it might be considered a good idea to build a really attractive looking Special Touring Saloon, rather on the lines of the Bentley Four-door Saloon, but with greater accommodation.

We believe we have received a number of enquiries for Bentleys with greater accommodation (and even in some cases a division) and we suggest that we might more readily turn these orders from Bentley to R.R. if we could shew the customer a really sporting and attractive R.R. equivalent of the Bentley Saloon.

It would be rather on the lines of 20.G.4. (Mr. Cowen) modernised. The modern development of this body, the Hooper Standardised Special Touring Saloon, we suggest has lost some of the attractive and sporting aspect underlying 20.G.4.
