Mr. Royce remarks as follows in reference to your BY6/H5726. dealing with the above:-
He requires a true job made in the least expensive way, and the truth that is necessary for this job in particular should be first ascertained.
R.{Sir Henry Royce} also says we should try to see how accurate each part can be made, and further, that he feels certain that with good machining methods and slack fitting bolts (ground or taper being neither necessary or desirable) the whole clutch could be made up in independent pieces without true-ing the flywheel on the crankshaft.
Mr. Royce further says with regard to the machining of the flywheel that after machining the most important piece it should be mounted on a true running ring by the large face, and the face and spigot which fit the flywheel should be trued up.
