surprising but is substantially borne out in practice. The simplest method of overcoming the difficulty is to reduce the direct rear braking, but this is already less than on EAC.111. We hope to be able to effect a considerable temporary improvement by shrinking a steel band on the rear drums. If the subsequent amount of lost pedal movement is still excessive, we propose to analyse the linkage with a view to ascertaining where the max. deflection takes place.
