6653 EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RC.{R. Childs}3/JH. 27th. October, 1938. Ferranti Ltd., Moston, Manchester.10. For the attention of Mr. G.A.Hall. Dear Sirs, Further to our conversation over the 'phone with your firm on the 27th inst. in which we ordered a radio set complete with aerial and jiffy plates, the control head to be of the new design, as fitted to the Wraith, on our recent visit to your Works. We should like if possible a little more bass, however, as we are in a hurry for this set, we woul'd rather leave any experimenting to a further set which we shall require in about another week. We shall of course require the longer "lead in" as supplied previously. Would it be possible to fit a tone control on the third set, which would allow us to determine the most suitable tone for our type of car? Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
