Engine X634 Slitter drive tests 4100. Large heavy external slitter drive (24 axle) tested on 1663- (at time suffering from rumbles. - felt in S.B. - "coronation" rattles). Coronation rattles improved - unless slack. When tight - (cannot move with bar) E.S. had period rattles. (Mag. drive) + lounty, drive of engine, 14-19-25-32 - etc (14x19 mtr h(26 axle)) + generally lumpy. do. made slacker - 3/4 cwt. - E.S. noise (mag drive) goes. but feeling of luntiness less {stand still general lumpy} When slacker 1/2 turns - commence Coronation rattles, these vanished, quite lost, at 3 turns - high hand slitter tight.
