CJ1/E25/3/26 X4565 N583 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from CJ. I telephoned you this morning as follows, asking you to discuss it the matter with CWB if he is still at Derby: R.{Sir Henry Royce} is again pressing that we should prepare at once to recommend customers to order wheels with 21 inch well base rims and to have over-size medium pressure tyres on the front and semi-balloon on the back. Do you know whether the over-size medium pressure tyres on the front will be more likely to bring about wobbles than the tyres we are at present using and can you recommend their use without <del>pneumatic</del> hydraulics shock absorbers? Are the semi-balloon tyres more prone to skidding and punctures than the tyres we use at present? Secondly, R.{Sir Henry Royce} is against the standardisation of Wakefield's oils because they do not contain so large a proportion of sperm and lard. What is the difference in this respect between Wakefield's and Prices? CJ. | ||
