The eye-roll bumper made by Ridlington has the type of over-riders now used on R.R. cars and has a more elaborate type of fixing for the caps on the eye-rolls. We have been over Wilmot-Breeden's up-to-date factory complete with a good laboratory and were very impressed with the thoroughness in every operation of manufacture. As Breeden him-self is very keen on obtaining a very high quality we feel it is impossible for Ridlington to compete, both for price and reliab-ility of manufacture. We have also discussed with Breeden the matter of rear bumpers to be fitted in London to suit various coachwork. Breeden points out that he has a London works and would be ready to take special trouble to see that we had the required attention in London. In the future the desire for specialised rear bumpers will die, owing to the introduction of standard coachwork. If it is not thought necessary for us to have a more distinctive looking bumper, we recommend that the bumper as fitted to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s car should be used on production.
