Referring to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/h.9.12.41, I have spoken to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} about this matter, and we agree that you should buy the Lancia Aprilla at the price of £220.

I should rather like to see and try this car as I have heard a good deal about it from Minchin.

With regard to the Vauxhall, I think the best thing to do is to sell it, as we do not want an unreliable car in the Transport Dept.

[Handwritten Notes]
1. Please let Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} try the car but first obtain max speeds & consumption.
2. Obtain a bill & send it to the accounts with my covering note.
3. See what price you can get for Vauxhall.
