Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} C. to Ry. X4400 ROY {Sir Henry Royce} /GEAS/FJ.13/3/23. Nipples for Universal Joints Messrs. Benton & Stone Ltd. have devised a nipple which they claim is absolutely sound, and any amount of centrifugal force will not throw grease out of the nipple. This nipple has inside its body a special leather seated valve which Benton & Stone have been compelled to screw the shank of same ¼" gas, as they cannot satisfactorily produce a valve to fit into an ⅛" gas which is a size we are now using on our Universal Joints, and they, therefore, hope that, should we decide on fitting these nipples, we should be able to alter the tapping on the joints to suit. The sample is sent to Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} herewith, and we shall be glad to have a report as early as convenient. ROY. {Sir Henry Royce} | ||
