Date 14/12/36, 24.11.36 X No. 254 Drawing No. EB.2970 Description of Parts: STRENGTHENED EXHAUST VALVE (KE965) Origin: Occasional breakage on test. Report of Experimental Test. Several failures occurred on the test beds with original valve (EB.2799) at junction of radius in the stem. The neck has been strengthened in EB.2970 and has run 15,000 miles test on 6-B-IV also endurance on test beds. Is in line with strengthened valve which is standard on the 25/30.
