- 3 - Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} We shall continue running this car because there does not seem to be any reason why we should pull it to pieces. If we neglected the gearbox, the car would have incurred the following charges to the Guarantee Account, over 50,000 miles. Brakes relined twice and skim up drums........................ £ 24 Replace water pump bearing.......... £ 1 Cost to Guarantee Account per thousand miles run............... £ - 10s. Cost to Guarantee Account as percentage selling price of car.(Car to sell at £2,000)..... 1.25% We have, of course, been running many cost reducing features on other Experimental cars and many others have still to be tried. In other words, though we have obtained reliability we have not, as yet, combined this with minimum cost. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
