CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION.

HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/HP17.12.34.

This scheme is fitted to 17-G-IV and has been under our observation in the Transport Dept. for several years.

From time to time we have had to lubricate the front axle pivots by hand owing to insufficient lubrication of these parts causing stiff steering. Apart from this feature we consider it satisfactory from a Service point of view.

We believe that all other parts served by the centralised system are well lubricated.

Some time ago when the car was in the Experimental Dept. for modernisation, quite a lot of the parts served by the centralised system were dismantled. B/Lid{A. J. Lidsey} informed us that the various parts were well oiled and in good condition.
