X4652 In reply to your enquiry we have obtained the following information from the Order Office For K.{Mr Kilner} Series production purposes, we paid Messrs Johnson & Mathey, 4/2d each for the L.T. Conduit Rivet D50467 and 4/10 each for the L.T. Contact Screw, both of which pieces are supplied with tips of 25% Iridio Platinum. 9/- per pair Although we have not bought similar pieces in Tungsten on a Production Basis, we bought from Messrs Reynolds in July 1925, 12 pairs to piece nos. D51407/8 which pieces are fitted with Tungsten points, and the price paid for these, was 2/- per pair. Mr. Mills informs us verbally, that this price is quite a good one for purposes of comparison, as he thinks the price would not vary to any extent even if the quantity purchased was a large one. We cannot see any reason why the cost of fitting the contact points should not be the same - be they either Tungsten or Platinum. Rb.{R. Bowen} [Signature] | ||
