Trot Salt - Carburation} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/KW.23.5.34. Unit for 4-B-IV now running 10,000 Miles. The unit in this car is quite obsolete and we want to replace it as soon as we can for something useful. We are allotting B.7 unit for this purpose. We asked you to re-build this in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW.16.5.34 as a standard Bentley unit. We should like the head with double valve springs to be fitted, a set of Aerolite pistons which we hand you herewith, and a set of Halford silent tappets. We should also like to get the new flywheel and clutch to N.Sch.3948, with central plate, as on 21-G-IV. As we have also asked for this clutch for C.10 unit (5-B-IV) it will mean two sets of parts being put in hand. We appreciate the clutch may take longer than the rest of the unit. If you can give an approximate date we can decide whether or no to wait for it. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
