In our EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/AM8.1.30 we gave expression to various proposals, which proposals were mainly subsequently considered in conversation with you.

On giving further consideration to the matter another point has occurred to us which we feel should at least be considered on its merits, and that is that if we are providing a considerably reduced rate of charge for the two charge positions on the right hand switch the raison d'être of the 'M' in the first position of the switch becomes materially reduced. We suggest that you should consider whether this should still be included in view of the fact that the exclusion thereof results in the simultaneous deletion of the auxiliary magneto switch.

It is possible to make the reduced rate of charge of any amount, and if it was considered that say one third normal rate would be sufficient as the reduced rate then there would be little reason for being able to run on magneto and battery without charge. At least it occurs to us that you might care to include this as an alternative proposal.
