1021 Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}6/JH.27.12.39. Minutes of meeting held at Messrs. Park Ward & Co.Ltd., Tuesday Dec. 19th 1939. Present:- Mr. Ward. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Mr. Green Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} & Hn.{F. C. Honeyman - Retail orders} Ripplet 2.R.2. It was agreed that Mr. Ward should build up the Ripplet body on the jig as a complete car if we will supply the radiator. This is for us to judge the frontal appearance of the car which has headlamps in the wings. Correct lamp bezels should be produced to our scheme, but not the lamps. Cresta 4.B.50. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} reported that the front appearance of this car with headlamps in the wings is not liked. It would appear that this treatment of headlamps with the conventional Bentley radiator cannot be used. Mr. Ward agreed that he could re shape the front wings of this car and fit some existing lamps on the cat walk to a design to be supplied by Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} The lamps and fittings are to be prepared forthwith and the car modified as it is available. L.H. Silver Phantom 31.S.1. It was agreed to leave the heater and wing lamps as fitted but to apply the new Lucas screen wiper with integral defroster ducts which is to be sent to Park Wards by Rg{Mr Rowledge}/HC. Weight Analysis of Standard B.V. body. Mr. Ward is to make a weight analysis of the standard B.V. saloon as being built for the second batch of six bodies. This analysis should follow the lines of that carried out at Park Wards on the all steel B.Z. saloon. | ||
