[Handwritten Signature: Horu Ruy/S15D2] Dear Sirs, For the attention of Mr.Steadman. We thank you for your letter of December 9th. The thermostat which we supply for the "SU" Starting Carburetter should be satisfactory for switching off the ignition when a predetermined temperature is reached. We are to-day sending you a sample with the cover loose, for your examination, together with Drawing No. BGA.3558A. Contact would be re-established when the temperature fell about 5°C. below the cut out point, and we would like to know whether this matters. Any of our standard pressure controls would be satisfactory for use as a pressure switch, but we are not clear as to whether this would be required for experimental purposes, in which case the bulk of the switch would be relatively unimportant, or whether it is proposed to fit it as part of the car mechanism. If the former is the case, the "YM6" control shown on Publication No.340A would meet the case, this being a stock instrument. Alternatively, the | ||
