BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y/3806 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/M21.7.28. PHANTOM - CENTRALISED CHASSIS X.3806 LUBRICATION. X.4400 Herewith we send N.sch.2662., shewing the Enots nipple and enlarged filter on the front axle, to deal with the trouble complained of by Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} of the present filter choking up. As this is not working under the same conditions as the Bijur system we have dropped the non return valve, running the risk of the pipes emptying themselves, as we think there should be plenty of oil in the gun to fill up the small dia. pipes. Should there be a question of return to the Bijur system we can easily arrange for a non-return valve. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
