| PRIVATE. To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Lp.{Mr Lappin} Dear Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}, Thank you very much for your note of this morning. I really would not add to your manifold anxieties at the present time by borrowing your guns. I am, however, very relieved to see that you have found an explanation for Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s brake judders on 4.B.IV and hope that the action taken will eliminate all this sort of bother. On a short run the brakes now appear to be excellent. I delivered Fairey's second car to him on Friday and emphasized that a considerable improvement had been effected in the wing and lamp movement. He went away with the car for the weekend and will ring me on Tuesday stating the results. Lp.{Mr Lappin} | ||
