That is to say the detonation could be heard more often at the same distance from the engine but not more distant from it.

SUMMARY.

From the foregoing it appears that we should keep both magnetos at the same setting to obtain the best results from a detonation stand-point.

The new wiring scheme in which each magneto fires some inlet and some exhaust plugs can therefore be proceeded with.
