X4257 (EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}) From BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BY1-P5.4.23. GOSHAWK 11. REAR HUB & BRAKE. With reference to the diameter of the flange on Goshawk 11 Brake Drums, we obtained these on the large side in order to permit of the Experimental Dept, carrying out the tests so as to find out the minimum diameter of flange which will be effective. I understand the first drums of the heavier size with the large outside flange were sent away as received, so far as the flange was concerned, but that the next pair that are fitted will be turned down to our drawing size. We wish, however, to make it clear that this point is still undecided and requires looking into from your point of view. MADE AT CROXLEY BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By | ||
