SPRINGFIELD ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT. X.3966. X.4275. X.4276.

I am very dissatisfied with the equipment for the U.S.A. Springfield chassis. It is like the supplies of the big stores.

Do you consider -

(1) 6 volts desirable?
(2) The dynamo and vibrator reliable and satisfactory and sufficient? (I think you said the vibrator did not allow of high engine) speed).
(3) Do you and the mechanics and HY.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} consider the switch likely to give more than the 5 years of service expected of it?

The above is Westinghouse equipment.

In addition do you consider -

(a) The American Bosch battery ignition really reliable including the condenser connections?
(b) Would it not be better for the U.S.A. factory to go to Delco since they cannot get anything better than the above equipment?
