General examination underneath the car.

From examination the chassis frame is still O.K. Cross members and frame ties are still in good condition. sub-frame brackets are O.K. There is now slight wear in the equalising shaft bearings for rear brakes, the front equalising shaft [REDACTED] is O.K. All step irons are O.K. The wire from accumulator to frame has been partly cut through by continually rubbing on the brake ropes.

Front wings.

Stiffened wings supports. It has been necessary to patch the front wings where they had started to crack at front edge. The front cross member where front wing supports are bolted on to, has become loose owing to the bolts having broken. We are of the opinion that these should be of a larger diameter. We believe that the cause is due to the bolts stretching as the nuts have been continually working loose.

Subframe.

We have had no further fractures of subframe bolts. We have nothing further to add to our previous report Re. subframe.

Body.

The body generally has remained in good condition. The window dividing driver's seat from the rear of the car jammed on one occasion and [REDACTED] took some time to get free again. There are rattles coming from doors and windows, but we do not consider these bad under the conditions which car has run. Running boards and rear wings have remained in good condition. The body has been free from exhaust booms.
