Experience gained on 35-EX. in France has shewn that the pressure filter can become completely sludged up in 9,300 miles. As the instruction book lays down 10,000 miles as the period between attention, an immediate alteration is required and Depots should also be informed. Investigation of the exact mileage would be a long job, as examining the filter destroys evidence on account of the necessity of cleaning out the bowl to prevent dirt reaching the clean side of the element when it is replaced. A figure will therefore have to be estimated. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/IMW.{Ivan M. Waller - Head of Chateauroux} | ||
