Dear Sirs,

Your order No. T.T.491

As promised we are to-day forwarding the Spring Steel against the above order; the material should be treated in the usual manner, that is, heated evenly and carefully to a good red heat (1400 Fah) quenched in oil until cold and the temper afterwards drawn by re-heating to a black red when the springs should be again immersed in oil. We shall be glad to have your report in due course and are willing to treat a few of the springs if you so desire.

Yours faithfully,
Vickers Limited.
