shock absorbers are fitted another position will have to be found for the mudguard stay.

There are signs of the lever having moved slightly with the biting-in-bolt type of fixing. We have taken a test by loading up a lever as suggested by you - below are the results:-

We would also like to point out that depth of bolt groove in rotor N.566 is only .062" deep.
