Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}15/JH.18.4.40. Car Tool Kit. One of Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s. criticisms on 4.B.30. was that the tool drawer underneath the instrument board contained too many tools. We rather think that Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} was under the impression that further tools were to be found in another compartment of the car. As a matter of fact this is not the case, the tray of tools under the instrument board represents the proposed kit for the rationalized range of chassis. The appearance will of course be improved when made up by the coachbuilder, the leading edge will be narrow and of polished wood to match the instrument board. We attach a photograph of this proposed tool kit also showing the Rover kit for comparison. We also attach a list of tools for both kits and give the weights of them complete. It will be noticed that although we are only 4 ozs. heavier we give a much more useful range of tools. The reason for the narrow and wide drawer is that we are limited in depth due to heater and wireless. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies} | ||
