TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [Strikethrough: Copy to [REDACTED] R.I.] CARBURETTER THROTTLE HEATING ON PHANTOM ENGINES. E2/M10.7.26. [Handwritten, Strikethrough: X8080] [Handwritten: X8230] Referring to your report HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}5/LG8726., page 6., Mr. Royce is now of the opinion that the alternative scheme suggested in Rl/M5726., namely, the jacket heating system sealed to a pressure of about 100 lbs. for the square inch, need not be tested. The disadvantage of this system is the danger of freezing in winter, and the additional trouble it would entail as regards draining. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [Signature] | ||
