To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. c. to BJ. c. to PN.{Mr Northey} c. to C. X788 R2/M22. 8.22. RE. 4-GOSHAWK-11 X.788. X.4091. The speed at Brooklands was most interesting and we ought to give Sales a complete record of performances with and without cutout and with different bodies and gearing ratios of BA, both of speed and accelerations, and brake action. I was very pleased to hear you found the plugs defect- ive and causing pre-ignitions; one supposes the mica must have become fuzzy. Can you send me 8 of what you find reliable (for 8.G.11.) My little pump engine is an excellent test for over- heating plugs. It will only do its best with an old 4 pointer Bosch which we easily clean if it gets sooty. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
