1325 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Std.20/KW.2.10.35. Detailed List of Gear Required for Radiator Test Rig. (1) Combined Fan & Electric Motor (constant speed). Fan to deliver 3300 cu.ft./min. with depression at entry to fan of 45" H2O and temperature at entry of 60°C. (2) Gas Boiler. To be of type which has a water capacity of at least 50 gallons, to generate 5000 B.T.U's/min., with a maximum liquid flow of 60 gallons/min. (3) Electric Motor for Water Pump Drive. Approximately 12 HP. - variable speed type. (4) Goshawk Water Pump. (5) 2 Galvanometers. Made by Cambridge Instrument Co., as supplied to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce for single cylinder beds recently. (No. C.192422 - Res.147 ohms. ext. Res. 2.0 ohms.) but without auto compensated cold junction. (6) Thermocouples. 50 yards of copper constanton wire (26 SWG.) as supplied to H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Royce. (7) 4 Glass Thermometers. 2 reading from 0°C. to 100°C. in 1/10°C. 2 reading from 50°C. to 150°C. in 1/5°C. (8) Two Venturimeters. One for flow up to 30 gallons/min. & ) for Water One for flow up to 60 gallons/min. ) and Glycol. (9) Orifice Plates (air metering). (10) U tube Board holding 10 U Tubes.
