Coverley - Production Engineer} HDY.{William Hardy}1/MN.2.2.35. Isolated Change Gear Lever - BENTLEY. Herewith is a print of N.Sch.4355 which shows the following modifications to this lever:- 1. More clearance is provided around the central shaft. To obtain this increased clearance we have raised the shaft centre which will require an extra .125" on the height of the floorboards over the pendulum lever cover making a total of .750" above the general level of the floorboards. 2. The flexible joint at the gearbox end has been rearranged so that it can be open to the gearbox, and therefore lubricated by the gearbox oil. 3. The width of the bottom end of the pendulum lever has been increased by .050 to provide a chamfer each side. The bearing surface is the same as on the present lever. 4. Various small alterations. We shall be sending a design for bracket for the gate very shortly. HDY.{William Hardy} Att: N.Sch.4355. | ||
