To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Ha. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X4553 E.4027 X.4958 Re Peregrine and Bensport. Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}4/B7.7.32. I hope that we have not definitely decided to the satisfaction of all concerned exactly what the bore and stroke of these are going to be. I gather that both are to have a bore of .275 and a stroke of 4", the only difference from the original intention being a reduction of .125 on the stroke. Would you please let me know what the cc. will be. It is a pity that this alteration has had to be made seeing that we have just managed to get the first Peregrine made but I gather from your E4/HP.5.7.32. that both you and Ha. are satisfied that the performance of the Peregrine will not suffer. | ||
