ENGINE UNIT No.7.

The general impression of the engine throughout the mileage was its freedom from any marked crankshaft period, total absence of thuds, power up to standard, acceleration good up to 50 MPH. it has been considered smooth running with torque reaction at a minimum. with the diamond mounting set correctly i.e. the rear engine feet taking only the torque, booms in the body were decreased considerably and were looked upon as being the best results as yet obtained. we had during the mileage trouble with the exhaust valves losing their clearance during each day's run which made the engine run erratic at slow speeds.
