Alfa Romeo. They are agents here for them. It will fairly difficult fitting the thermometer to these cars and I am having to do all the work myself. I dont mind, but it takes time. It will take me a full morning to put the 40-50 right again, joints are all tight etc. The weather does not look at all inclined to be hot. temp 30°-35° when they complain. To day the temp is 18° & rained every day so far. so I should like to know whether you consider it will be useful testing other cars. as far as I can see, to do this at the rate I'm getting through, another week will be taken up in the tests. Will you please wire whether tests so far are satisfactory, also if I am to carry on. You will note in the reports. Height test I have altered to Meters per Kilometer, as I thought this would give a truer result of the gradient. It is supposed to be 10 in 100 metres. Other hills have as much as 25 in 100, 45 in 100. I am trying to get the spec. grav. of the petrol, but not successful yet. The petrol is not as good as ours, seems to be more like the French petrol. I have wired you to day tests finished 40-50. waiting for other car. stop. temp. low. stop. This means weather is still cool. PS There are no pits here I have no time or expense sheets here did not expect to be more than one week G H HANCOCK | ||
