| Mr Johnson Your second wire to hand, we attach herewith what we trust are the memos you require. We wish to apologise for our delay and to explain that in the ordinary course we should have had no difficulty in supplying copies of all our correspondence, but in this instance our trouble has been caused by the fact that Mr Wormald just prior to his departure for France desired us to supply him with copies of all recent memos re axle pivots. There being no time to reproduce these we were compelled to give Mr Wormald our own carbon copies, consequently the letter you require we were unable to find because Mr Wormald had it with him in France.
