X5400 BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} FROM DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EVF/M28.11.31. C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} CK.{Mr Clark} HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} 20/25. HEADLAMPS. With reference to BY/CGH{W Clough}11/G241131., we suggest that the additional cable in each conduit at the cost of 1/6d. per chassis would be well worth having. Of course the foot switch would be supplied as an extra, and HM.{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs} is endeavouring to obtain a quotation for this at a specially reduced cost. With reference to the use of the new Lucas lamp this will go on the existing brackets, and therefore unless Sales agree to some scrap being made the taller lamp brackets can come in after the 150th. chassis on T. series. The only exception to this we would like to make would be in the case of special touring saloons such as 20.G.IV., which we think should have the raised headlamp brackets, as probably there will be only 2 or 3 of these before we come to the 151st. chassis of T. series.
