Shake bad when 7.00 tyres are inflated to give similar stability to 7.50 tyres.

Left lock stop broken off in box but has not proved serious. Box free from leaks. Centre ball pad of housings of cross steering tubes just foul on full bump and are 1/4" clear on rebound. Y lever bearing has excessive end float but is free from slack diametrically. This allows bijur leak. Excessive bijur leak from front end of side steering tube due to poor bedding of ball. Bedding improved and bijur leak cured.

No trouble from front hubs, wireless earth in hub squeaked. Has not re-occurred since lubricating.

BRAKES.

Pedal pressure too high and a bigger proportion of fronts are required even with EZ/RU fronts and V.G.90 rears. Rears re-lined twice. No oil leaked on shoes.

Drums now badly scored back and front. When rear brakes are worn down and require adjustment, the stop on the intermediate shaft prevents the rear wheels from locking, and a lot of front braking can then be obtained by additional pedal pressure. It is under these conditions that the front drum wear occurs.

Water entered servo with badly fitting tape and no undersheets. Undersheets and new tape fitted. The latter came off again during the running. Light squeaks from rears first time with V.G.90, probably due to overwork. Foot pedal held down with hand brake due to tight slotted link on rod from servo. The slotted links must be checked for freedom on production. Hand brake with Bowden control considerable improvement and sustains no damage from stones or sticking from dirt. No sticking on of brakes with high melting grease in expanders, but these needed cleaning when brakes were re-lined due to collection of brake dust. Suggest spring cap to rear wedges as on fronts, to keep them cleaner.

FRAME & FITTINGS. All body bolt nuts loose I turn. Engine mountings all O.K. Spare wheel bracket kept coming loose. Rear bumper bar extension brackets broken, now the frame has cracked at top corners and along centre line of fixing bolts. This extension is too weak. Modifications have been called for.
