-2- 10.5.38. Results. The results obtained so far are shown on the attached photo-graphs, the top torsional period starting at, approximately, 3,600 r.p.m. on both Wraith & Bentley II. On each diagram is given the speed and amount of crankshaft deflection, the crankshaft deflection shown is the actual deflection of the shaft from its mean position. the total amplitude of course being twice the amount stated on the diagrams. Actually, the Bentley II shaft appears to be worse than Wraith, the attached curve shows the actual deflection at each speed for both units. The tests completed at the moment are not many but, as stated at the beginning of the report, this is due to the trouble experienced with the indicator.
