The mishap to the pivot pin on the Smith-Bingham car was discussed. Parts were examined of original production, present production, and similar parts on the 20/25 and 40/50. Memo. E4/HP.19.12.34 to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} was handed to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} and as the result of the discussion it was agreed that immediate action must be taken to put in hand the manufacture of new pins of strengthened type and that arrangements must be made to fit these as quickly as possible to all existing cars. It is considered that this is a 'Safety First' job and must be worked on day and night. SPECTRECodename for Phantom III.
