Difficulty with the SS. oil filler position relative to the klaxon horn and proposing a solution.

SS.{S. Smith} OIL FILLER.

There is some difficulty on SS.{S. Smith} with the oil filler
due to the klaxon horn occupying a position almost immediately
above it.

We suggest the oil filler should be sloped as on the
attached print of LeC. 2637.

With this position we think that any of the commonly
available forms of funnel can be used although not at full
capacity.

There is also some question of the funnel blowing
the klaxon horn by contacting with a live nut on the body of
the klaxon.

There appear to be two such nuts left exposed.
One of these, we believe the one nearer the dash,
stands at battery potential and will blow a fuse if shorted.

The other will blow the klaxon.

We feel that both of these points should be protected
possibly by adding caps of insulating material moulded on metal
inserts screwed on after the present nuts securing the brush
holders are in position.
