We have received your telegram:
HAVE YOU STARTED MILEAGE ESSENTIAL TEST TO BE COMPLETED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
We have replied:
CAR STARTED MILEAGE WEDNESDAY PRESENT MILEAGE 1800 REPORT SENT THURSDAY.

The car was only held up Monday afternoon and Tuesday to alter shock dampers, cross steering tube, and generally tightening up loose bolts etc. The men arrived Tuesday midday and started work Wednesday morning when the mileage commenced. The report was sent Thursday for Wednesday's mileage, which you will not receive until Saturday, two days being taken for transit. We do not intend to hold the car up if it can be avoided. The car so far is running well although it is eating up oil, which is passing the pistons. Petrol consumption is improved on last test over here.
