S.B. 20 M 1000 TIER H.R. 76B. 10-12-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 3947 Contd. -2- Ra/CGS. 8.21. ---------- There is no reason why someone, say a stores hand, should not be taught to repair plugs in his spare time, if we found the Mercury a satisfactory proposition. Hence the cost of plugs for Works' use should be reduced to one-quarter of the present cost of using those which are quite unrepairable, and nearly uncleanable, with a very large saving in time. So that with Mercury plugs no time should be wasted trying doubtful ones, but clean and fresh plugs should always be quickly available. Years ago I worked on these lines, and have stripped a Mercury, and consider a scheme as indicated above, to be quite a profitable proposition. Each tester should have a box of plugs, say, 24, which he can change for another box of fresh ones at the stores as often as he likes. [Watermark: LION POST 1804 MADE AT CROXLEY] | ||
