With reference to spring load required on the friction plate device on the pivot. When we inserted the extra friction plate on the bottom of the pivot, steering was very much too heavy at low speeds. This was equivalent to putting a spring load of 1100 lbs. per pivot on the present thrust race radius. We suggest that if a friction load equivalent to 600 lbs. on the present friction radius can be obtained, this will give us about what we require. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
