21-G-IV - 10,000 Miles Test.

We have come to the conclusion that a groove in the back of the bearing on the big end of the 20/25 is prejudicial to the life of the top half of the connecting rod big end. We are therefore making a modification to this and putting a groove in the connecting rod as shown on the attached blue prints.

This also alters the oil hole drilling in the top half of the bearing as these holes have to be brought closer together to avoid weakening the big end.

Will you please put in hand a set of rods and bearings to these drawings.

With regard to the steering on this car, we have decided to fit a SpectreCodename for Phantom III steering column and box. Will you please fit up one of the SpectreCodename for Phantom III boxes with the opposite hand worm which were produced in error, and let us try it out to ensure that it works satisfactorily. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} is producing a scheme for putting this box in the chassis.
