'W' SERIES. 48380 48830 We have the subframe practically complete. We were arranging to fit it to a scrap frame so that the coach-builders can fit up the body without the chassis. Are we correct in assuming that C. has arranged for a 40/50 chassis which can be used for fitting on these sub-bodies and underframes? Are we in order in sending the bare subframe and brackets to Messrs. Hoopers? As regards the finish of the body, we should like to have some idea of how long this process will delay the body. When we have completed a 'W' series chassis, we shall want to get it on the road in the earliest possible time. If this new process is going to cause any delay, we would recommend that it is not put on the first car, but one of the later cars. The first car will also most probably be severely handled and pulled to pieces. Assuming that Messrs. Hoopers have the subframe by Jan. 5th., when do you anticipate the body will be completed?
