To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} K7460 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/KT.30.11.33. GLN-60. We had a certain amount of trouble with booms on this car and finally arranged for the engine mounting to be made more flexible than it was at first. Lp.{Mr Lappin} is so far satisfied with this mounting, and therefore we should like to reproduce it when B.2. unit is fitted to the car. Lp.{Mr Lappin} has also asked us if we can arrange - (1) A gearbox with silent 2nd. His own gearbox has the old type reverse and therefore we believe it is impossible to fit a silent 2nd. Have you a gearbox available we could let him have. (2) Shock Dampers. The shock dampers on this car are leaking badly. Will you please remove them and strip for examination.
