R.R. 348A (106 H) (W 387. 4.4.11) E.P. 8817. DEPARTMENTAL MEMO. Issued 19th June 1911 This column is for Name of Person addressed. DATE. Testing Shop equipment. Mr Nadin Mr Barrington. 19/6/11 RLO/D19611 Mr Nadin was endeavouring to buy a few secondhand dynamos something like the large one which we have at present. They could, however, be 200 (two hundred) volts at 1000 revs: a motor generator would be required for supplying the exciting current. No other system but the electrical seems suitable for running the engines down to speeds below the speed of greatest torque. For the permanent testing tackle I think we ought to get quotations from Royce Limited and other makers for field magnets and armatures that we can mount on ball bearing trunions, something of the following description: - a four-pole generator, having intermediate commutating X632 This sheet must be filed with the correspondence to which it refers. | ||
