BATTERIES. 13th February, 1929 Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., Nightingale Road, Derby. Dear Sirs, Our Ref.-1622/P.519 For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Fowler Clarke. We beg to confirm having sent you by separate post a number of grades of brushes to enable you to carry out further tests with the object of discovering a suitable brush to run absolutely quietly yet having the same satisfactory features as the "Z" quality which we are normally supplying to you. We have therefore selected "EG3502" and "EG60/3" and have no doubt you will find sufficient brushes have been furnished in each grade to enable complete comparative tests to be made. For record purposes, we give you below details of the brushes we have sent and it may be that we have supplied rather more than is required of type 70966/7 but we are not quite clear about the make up of the sets. We trust however the brushes have safely reached you and that you will have an opportunity of giving each grade a good trial and in particular we would mention that the "EG3502" material corresponds to "EGSP" which is used with such success by your people in America. Assuring you of our interest in this problem, We are, Yours faithfully, for LE CARBONE cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} | ||
