1328. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.3/MH.{M. Huckerby} 15th. March 1938. The British Thermostat Co. Ltd., Teddington Works, Windmill Road, Sunbury-on-Thames, MIDDLESEX. For the attention of Mr. Martin-Hurst. Dear Sirs, We have received your letter of 12 th. inst. for which we thank you. With regard to our letter of 11th. inst., we regret that it is necessary to revise the measurements given therein owing to the fact that a constant datum was not used when they were made. Attached sheet indicates the correct measurements made with the thermostat in a casing. Will you please disregard previous figures. You will see from these figures that the initial pull up of the bellows in the casing is .150, while the further movement, i.e. valve lift, with the bellows in the free position with charge released is .107. Incidentally, the bellows length, measured from the top plate face (outer) to the washer seating on bottom plate is approximately 1.600 which presumably compares with your figure of 1.437. We are returning the unit to you for examination. Please note that the brass locking pin has been removed, after examination will you please repair it and return to us. | ||
