To Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X.4261. Da {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} 3/M/15.5.22. FRONT SPRINGS ON GOSHAWK 11. X.4261. In reply to your Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1/LG13.5.22., we know that to increase the thickness of the buffers without altering the springs would be to make matters worse, and in fact we have instructed that the rate of the spring shall be increased at the same time that the deeper buffers are used.
